For nose surgery, it is important to take the height of the nose, the nose’s relationship with the surrounding area, angle, length, and width into consideration in a three-dimensional way to design after-surgery appearance. When a patient consults the surgeon, the shape to be corrected is first decided and depending on his/her condition, a decision on autologous tissues or prosthetics should be made. The shapes of noses deformed by cleft lip and cleft palate are all different from patient to patient. It means, without plentiful surgical cases, surgery for nose deformed by cleft lip and cleft palate cannot be successfully performed.

Scars from the first surgery can be removed through scar plastic surgery. Scar revision surgery is performed for other scars after that, and for the rest of other scars, our medical staff always research on related methods like flap, MTS, DeAge-EX and PRP and operate surgeries. When correcting cleft lip and cleft palate, a patient sees them his/herself, makes a judgment and decides during consultation how he/she likes the surgery to be, as the lips and philtrum are the most sensitive parts to make a shape. However, if there are any scars or deformity, most of them can be improved. |
